I am an Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist. Pediatric Cardiologist is a doctor who deals with heart diseases of children. Congenial heart diseases (CHD) occur in every 10 babies out of 1000. If identified in time treatment is available for almost all congenital heart diseases. 2D echocardiography is the tool used for diagnosis of CHDs. Treatment is available in the forms of open heart surgery and interventions. Intervention is the procedure in which certain problems like hole in heart, narrow valve or vessel can be managed through groin without opening heart (like angioplasty in adults)
